NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A St. Louis Cardinals all-star will soon make his debut on country music's most famous stage.
Adam Wainwright will be playing at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry on March 9, the now-former Cardinals pitcher posted on his Twitter page.
"I’ve performed on some pretty big stages before but this one is different!" Wainwright said.
The concert will come right after his self-titled debut country music album is set to be released, with assistance by Grammy award-winning producer and songwriter Gary Baker, the Opry said on its website. Wainwright's first single, "Time to Fly," was released in December.
Wainwright will also be hosting a live taping of his music video series in Winter Park, Florida on Feb. 29. People interested in attending can register on Wainwright's music website.
