The Beale on Broadway is closing its doors after 18 years downtown.
“After 18 years 3 months and 3 days we are saying goodbye here at the Beale on Broadway,” the live music venue announced online.
The Beale On Broadway first opened in 2000. It’s been hosting soulful musicians on stage ever since.
“None of this could have happened without all of YOU..you who came out and supported live music. It was the sharing of this common bond that transcends race, gender, age and nationality that makes this most beloved thing I have ever been a part of,” the business wrote on Facebook.
Beale on Broadway didn't explain why it's shutting down.
It’ll draw the curtain Thursday after two final shows.
Roland Johnson is set to perform Wednesday night. Kim Massie will close down the club with a live show Thursday night.
“Come on by and drop us a memory, buy a drink, tip the band and indulge in the power of music one last time,” the venue wrote in a Facebook event page for the final days.
