Merle Haggard will not be joining Willie Nelson when the Willie Nelson & Family tour comes through Missouri in April.
According to a press release, Merle Haggard has been advised by his doctor to complete his recovery from double pneumonia by continuing to rest. Because of this, he will not be joining the Willie Nelson & Family tour when it comes through Missouri and parts of the midwest.
The dates Haggard will miss are:
- April 7 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. — Show Me Center
- April 8 in Springfield, Mo. — O'Reilly Family Event Center
- April 9 in St. Louis — Peabody Opera House
- April 11 in Independence, Mo. — Silverstein Eye Centers Arena
- April 12 in Park City, Kan. — Hartman Arena
- April 13 in Enid, Okla. — Enid Event Center
- April 15, 16 and 17 in New Braunfels, Texas — Whitewater Amphitheater
For all of the Missouri dates and most of the other dates, Jamey Johnson and Ryan Bingham will join Nelson.
