LOS ANGELES — A Missouri native was nominated for six Grammy Awards following her rise to fame and her breakout debut album.
Chappell Roan, originally a resident of Willard, Missouri (outside of Springfield), is nominated for six Grammy Awards, including some of the show's most prestigious awards:
- Album of the Year - "The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess"
- Record of the Year - “Good Luck, Babe!”
- Song of the Year - “Good Luck, Babe!”
- Best New Artist - Chappell Roan
- Best Pop Solo Performance - “Good Luck, Babe!”
- Best Pop Vocal Album - "The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess"
Her debut album "The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess" was released in September 2023. Just months after its release, it began topping the charts.
Over the past year, she toured across the country on "The Midwest Princess Tour," performed at festivals including Coachella and Lollapalooza and opened for Olivia Rodrigo during her "Guts World Tour." She recently performed on Saturday Night Live as a musical guest with host John Mullaney.
The 26-year-old released "Good Luck, Babe!" in April 2024, eventually peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song and continued performances helped her reach No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 in October 2024.
Roan is up against artists including Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar and Billie Eilish.
The award show will air Feb. 2, 2025, on CBS and Paramount+ from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
