St. Louis' Kennedy Holmes finishes 4th in 'The Voice'

Despite the 4th place finish, the St. Louis teen captured the attention of the entire country with her performance this season.

St. Louis’ Kennedy Holmes finished in 4th place in season 15 of “The Voice” Tuesday night.

Holmes and Kirk Jay were the first two knocked out, leaving Chevel Shepherd and Chris Kroeze for the final decision. In the end, confetti fell as Chevel Shepherd was named the season 15 winner.

Despite the 4th place finish, the St. Louis teen captured the attention of the entire country with her performance this season on "The Voice".

The St. Louisan and John Burroughs student made another big impression before her arrival on 'The Voice' when she got the chance to sing the National Anthem at Busch Stadium:

When she did make it to the auditions for 'The Voice' at age 13, her star really started to shine. Her very first performance received a four-chair turn and standing ovation from the judges:

Kennedy also was able to sing a duet with one of her idols, Jennifer Hudson, during her very first time on 'The Voice' stage. She sat down with our Heidi Glaus to talk about the whirlwind experience:

After becoming an overnight sensation, Kennedy continued to impress week after week.

But away from the cameras, she's still just a teenager with real-life teenage problems.
