MISSOURI, USA — A new show on HGTV is shining a spotlight on the luxury lakefront properties of Missouri's Lake of the Ozarks.
The show, "Lakefront Empire," explores million-dollar lakeside homes in the "Hamptons of the Midwest."
It follows real estate agents Peggy Albers, brothers Jonas and Justin Farrell, Cierra Grein, Gerardo Cornejo and Amanda Smith as they "hustle in the peak summertime months to secure dream waterfront homes for their clients," according to a release from the show's production company Hit + Run.
The Ozarks are the country's best-kept secret and a red-hot real estate market, according to the show, as central Missouri offers buyers with a more modest budget a "slice of affordable luxury."
The homes featured on "Lakefront Empire" have waterfront views, custom pools and hot tubs, decked-out docks, wet bars, water slides and more.
"Lakefront Empire" premieres at 9 p.m. Monday, March 11 on HGTV and Max.
