The 2024 Emmy Nominations are here. Did your favorites make the list?

We look at some of the biggest TV shows leading the nominations.

LOS ANGELES — It's one of the biggest nights of entertainment. The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards return on Sept. 15, 2024, at 7 p.m. on ABC. The Emmy Awards will be live at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. 

Thursday morning, Mary Thaier and Malik Wilson chatted about some of the biggest shows leading the nominations and the ones they have watched as well.

Dominating the charts is FX’s “Shōgun" with 25 nominations this year. Followed close behind is "The Bear " with 23 nominations,  setting a new record for the most nominations in a single year for a comedy series. The record was previously held by "30 Rock." Hulu's "Only Murders in the Building" has 21 nominations.

 New shows such as "Mr. & Mrs. Smith", and "Baby Reindeer" also got nominated.  "Abbott Elementary" secured some nominations as well.
