O'FALLON, Mo. — It’s safe to say that when we look back at 2023 we will think of Taylor Swift. From the Eras Tour, to Time Person of the Year, to even Chiefs football. The superstar and this year are intertwined.
When 5th grader, Norah Wolff, looks Back to December of 2023 she will think of Taylor, too.
"When she sings, she puts me in her shoes and how she feels. She's a big inspiration to me," Wolff said.
As part of the Drug Abuse Resistance Education, or D.A.R.E., educational program at her school, Norah was asked to write her 18-year-old self a letter.
Since Norah loves Taylor Swift, she decided to add her into the letter. Norah’s letter uses 13 different Swift song titles to illustrate topics like bullying, stress management and drug and alcohol prevention.
Norah’s letter left such an impact on her D.A.R.E instructor, officer Byran Shepard, that the O’Fallon Police Department posted it on their social media, and her classmates nominated her to read her letter aloud at DARE graduation.
Even though Norah was a little nervous to read her letter aloud at graduation last Monday, she showed her confidence on the stage, just like her idol: Taylor Swift.
