A Place to Call Home: Meet Trey

Anthony Slaughter shares Trey's story in today's A Place to Call Home

ST. LOUIS — Meet 14-year-old Atreyu or “Trey” as he likes to be called. This handsome young man will have you laughing in no time. Atreyu may seem quiet at first, but once you find some common ground you will quickly realize how much of a joy he is.

Trey enjoys being goofy and may actually have the BEST smile ever! His laugh is contagious and you can’t help but join in on the silly behavior.

He enjoys being a helpful hand around the house and has taken quite an interest in cooking and especially enjoys taste testing his creations!

Trey’s favorite color is red but says he also equally loves blue. He can be found either playing videogames or participating in some outside activities like swimming, fishing, and camping.

Trey enjoys being photographed and will often ask you to take his picture so he can show off how happy and excited he is to be with you. He truly needs a forever family that will shower him with positive reinforcement, clear boundaries, and most importantly be able to tell a good joke or two!

Trey also has a little wish. He would love to take swim lessons. If you would like to learn more about becoming part of Trey’s life or granting his little wish, please call the Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition at 1-800-FOSTER3.

And a shout out to Slick City for a day of fun for Trey. He couldn’t stop talking about it. Check them out if you’re looking for a fun way to spend the day!
