BattleHawks bring football back to St. Louis

ST. LOUIS — Football is back in St. Louis! Dana got the chance to go check out the new XFL team, the St. Louis BattleHawks, ahead of their home opener on Sunday

In the same facility where the Rams practiced, the St. Louis BattleHawks have taken flight. On Sunday, St. Louis’ new football team is expected to draw a crowd on the same field where the Rams played. They have brought football back to St. Louis, and excitement is building.

Just like the tickets, the merchandise is hard to find. The BattleHawks are making footballs, shirts, and jerseys as fast as they can!

ST. LOUIS - Surprise! Well, not really. St. Louis still loves football. The support for the XFL's BattleHawks has only grown over the last few weeks, with fans getting increasingly anxious for the home opener on Feb. 23 at the Dome downtown. The last home pro football game in St.

As for the differences between the XFL and the NFL, the rules are different pertaining to kickoff and overtime. Fans will also notice that games are designed to be under 3 hours. The XFL doesn’t have cheerleaders, so the players bring the energy to the crowd themselves.
