Great Rivers & Routes: Collinsville, IL

Now is the perfect time to visit Collinsville for their first Restaurant Week.

COLLINSVILLE, Ill. — The food scene in Collinsville, Illinois is taking off! If you haven’t been over there to check out the food yet, now is the perfect time. Collinsville is hosting its first Restaurant Week starting today, February 28.

Courtney went over to Collinsville to get a preview of some of the restaurants taking part in Restaurant Week. Seven locally owned restaurants are involved in this first ever Restaurant Week.

First, Courtney takes a look at Sloan’s Pub house. For them, it is an opportunity to get creative with their menu and give their customers a chance to try everything they have to offer. The owners say it is also a great way to celebrate the Collinsville community.

Now thorough the first week of March you can get lunch combos for $10 and dinner specials for $25.  At some restaurants that includes an appetizer and a dessert, at others it is a 2 for $25 deal. Restaurant week is about a pre-fixed menu and a pre-fixed price, and you don’t need a reservation. You know you can go get a great meal for a great price and have a great time.

ST. LOUIS - This dish tastes like summer in the middle of winter thanks to Tony's fresh, ripe cherry tomatoes! This dish is low-calorie, gluten-free, and can even be made vegan! Also perfect for those following Lent.

There is bound to be a restaurant for every palate, including friday’s south Bar & Grill with their pizzas that have made them famous. You can get a 16-inch pizza for just $10.

Collinsville Restaurant Week starts February 28 and goes through March 8. Learn more at CollinsvilleRestaurantWeek.com or at GreatRiversAndRoutes.com.
