Getting to know Tish Haynes Keys, the local singer on The Voice

Singing around the office

United Way of Greater St. Louis is known for helping people live their best possible lives usually that's complete strangers.

"Welcome to my department, this is finance," Tish Haynes Keys says.

Over the last couple of months, however, that's been one of their own.

Tish Haynes Keys has worked here for 14 years.

"A lot of the most happiest and saddest times happened while being here,"

Her co-workers have been with her through the highs and lows and she's currently experiencing the highest of high notes impressing viewers and The Voice coaches with every song she's belted out which comes as no surprise to her co-workers because she is constantly singing.

She sings at the copy machine, through the halls and at her desk.

"All the time, but if you go ask her to sing she'll stop..ain't that crazy?" Wendy Robertson explains.

Tish is a force to be reckoned with. Her energy is infectious.

"It's just her personality man you see it on The Voice it's so nice that it comes through on national TV the way it is in real life," adds Vander Corliss

It makes it even more fun to root for the University City High School Grad, who started on Team Adam and is now Team Kelly.

"So see when I came back to work after I had been dumped he was like call me on your pay phone and I was like nope I'm going to sing a moment like some people wait a lifetime, see that's Kelly, she says singing a line from each of their songs.

What the future holds for her has yet to be seen, but if the first few weeks are any indication.

"I was fighting, I was clawing my way!"

We can expect to see more of Tish Haynes Keys.

"My heart stopped when Kelly hit the button because I was hoping I would get stolen but you don't know the excitement until it actually happens."

She's a woman not just defined as a singer, but a mother, wife and valued co-worker.

"You know we have the potential of losing an employee at the end of the day here and I don't normally like that, but for someone getting their dream fulfilled who could ask for anything more in life right," Corliss adds.
