ST. LOUIS — Today on Show Me St. Louis, Mary and Mary discussed their breakfast routines and why some experts deem breakfast as the most important meal of the day. For many years nutrition experts have advised we eat "breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper." Beginning your day with adequate protein and healthy food is indeed a great way to start your day.
Mary Caltrider shares her favorite smoothie recipe that she enjoys each day. In addition to high-protein breakfast smoothies, some other ideas for a high-protein breakfast from Health Magazine are: egg muffins, Greek yogurt parfait, avocado toast with feta, quinoa breakfast bowl, protein waffles/ pancakes.
Mary's smoothie recipe:

1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
1 banana
