How Chef Kevin Willman's childhood influenced the fresh, local dishes at Farmhaus

Experience farm to table unlike ever before at Farmhaus.

ST. LOUIS — “After a good run in the business, 10 or 12 years, I decided I wanted to try my own place,” says Chef Kevin Willman.

Located in South City, lies Farmhaus. The neighborhood restaurant was opened by Chef Kevin Willman in 2010. What led to this delicious establishment was a boy with a dream.

Chef Willman spent his teenage years in Florida where he eventually spent his summers commercial fishing. After catching and cleaning the fish, he found an interest in the restaurant business. From there, his passion took off!

“Having that connectivity to the food and knowing what we were serving,” says Willman.

It was his passions for catching and harvesting that led him to pursuing his dream, Farmhaus! The restaurant was opened to create beautiful, delicious dishes using only the freshest of ingredients!

Customers can enjoy an ever changing menu. With a wide range of seafood, salads, steaks, you can expect an edgy and refreshed take on southern and midwestern styles! Plus, with a menu that is mostly locally grown produce, you are guaranteed both quality and fine details!

“I do not want to do it any other way, it is difficult to operate like this but rewarding,” says Willman.

For the St. Louis chef, he finds his joy not only in the ingredients, but also, in his relationship with their customers, too. Because it is neighborhood restaurants like Farmhaus, that showcase just how special this community is.
