Promoting Young Women in STEM

Meet the award-winning children's book author who uses her books to encourage young black women to pursue STEM.

ST. LOUIS — She's an award-winning children's book author helping to encourage young black and brown women to pursue STEM. Friday morning, Mary Caltrider sat down with author Micheal Anderson about her popular books and the importance of a STEM-focused career.

Anderson is the author of the popular Zoey Lyndon chapter book series. She brought her books with her to chat about them and how they are a way of teaching life lessons to kids through storytelling.

Anderson is hosting two meet-and-greet book signing events. She will be at Barnes & Noble at the West County Mall from 11 to 2 p.m. on February 3.  If you miss that one, she will also be at Barnes & Noble in Mid Rivers/St. Peter's from 11 to 2 p.m. on February 10.
