The Humane Society of Missouri is visiting 5 On Your Side tonight at 8 PM for their Second Chances Telethon! Becky Krueger is here with more on the event, and she brought little puppy James along with her.
James and his 3 litter mates are available for adoption at the Macklind location. James is only 9-weeks-old, has a lot of puppy energy, and is a cattle dog mix.
The Second Chances Telethon is a way for the Humane Society of Missouri to raise money for their rescue pet trauma fund. All of the animals that come to the Humane Society of Missouri get basic medical care including vaccinations, being spayed or neutered, microchipping, and more. Sometimes though, animals come in that need a little extra care. This could be anything from a surgery to a dental cleaning. The rescue pet trauma fund helps to cover those costs.
Purina is also matching any donations tonight up to $25,000!
