Get Supermarket Savvy at Schnucks

If you are looking to try something new, go to Schnucks!

ST. LOUIS — Today, we get Supermarket Savvy thanks to Dietitian Kara Behlke with Schnucks. Kara shows us her favorite things in the store to help you get healthy and stay healthy.

Kara takes Dana to produce to get some Kombucha. Kombucha is a fermented tea that is naturally effervescent and loaded with probiotics. Probiotics are good for your gut and your immune system.

Next, Kara says that if there is one single thing you can do for your health, it is to eat more fruits and vegetables. This month, Schnucks is focused on having more plants and even provide you 30 ways to have a plant in their Simply Schnucks magazine.

A great way to get protein on the go is with nut butter pouches. They are tasty and convenient. You can also find a better for you fruit snack from Sun Maid. They are raisins with a little bit of sour added. In the trend of snacks, you can also try Cauliflower Stalks.

ST. LOUIS - Finding time to get groceries, find a recipe, and cook can feel impossible. Luckily, Schnucks has some services to streamline all of that. These services are designed to save you time and money and have been available in Schnucks stores for a while, but now Schnucks wants to make sure that everyone knows about them.

Heading to dairy, there is always new yogurt coming out. Kara recommends trying Schnucks brand Icelandic yogurt. It is high in protein with little added sugars. Chobani also has several creative flavors of yogurt.

In the meat department, plant based is all the rage right now.

The Simply Schnucks magazine is free, and you can find recipes and more at Schnucks.com.
