ST CHARLES, Mo. — Meet Matt and Audrey Gorski. They buy homes, flip them, and turn them into vacation rentals. It’s not your average place to spend the night.
All six of their vacation rentals are located within a half mile of each other in Historic St. Charles. Matt handles the architectural design, and Audrey does the decor.
“We try to do things you wouldn’t normally see in a regular home. We think people come here to look for something different – look for something a little special. So, we do these little corners, these little unique nooks to make it feel different than your normal home,” says Matt.
The St. Charles Guest House is their newest property available to rent by the night. The place sleeps nine people.
Audrey explains that when you look at the house from the outside, it looks like there wouldn’t be as much area as there really is on the inside. The house has three levels, and every floor of the 120-year-old home received a makeover.
From the master suite to the game room, this place has a modern farmhouse feel with stone and old barn wood.
Depending on the day of the week, the cost ranges between $195 - $245 per night.
Whether you’re traveling with a group of friends or the entire family, there are amenities for adults and children to enjoy. There are toys, books, board games, video games and shuffleboard.
All of this is within walking distance to Main Street. So, when you’re not relaxing, you can have fun exploring Historic St. Charles.
