ST. LOUIS — Today on Television Plaza Show Me St. Louis welcomed St. Joseph's Academy to share their SJA Angel school spirit as they are about to kick off Angel Fest this Saturday, October 14th from 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. The SJA community invites all SJA alumnae, friends and family to join in - truly something for everyone. Kids can enjoy the Bubble Bus, various games, crafts, face painting, and pony rides. Angel Dads will provide hot dogs, chips, and soda.
Our host, Mary Caltrider, spoke with the school's cheer team about what makes their school so great. The cheer team highlighted that in addition to academics, St. Joseph's Academy has always had a strong school athletic program, overall they have won 64 state championships and counting. Show Me St. Louis was thrilled to welcome this SJA dance team who won state in dance last year. The academy has over 50 clubs and activities for students to get involved in, providing a wonderful opportunity for girls to take on leadership roles. The St. Joseph's Academy motto is "Not I, But We" and they have built a strong sense of community and school spirit. The students at St. Joseph's Academy do a great deal of service in the community. The biggest week of the year is next month - Mission Week - where students of St. Joseph's Academy help raise funds to support the various missions of the Sisters in Peru and other local charities in Peru. This Fall's Open House for SJA is Sunday, November 5th from 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is an opportunity to tour the school, check out classrooms, and learn about student life at St. Joe. The cheer team ended the show with a live performance with one of their favorite dance routines!
