St. Louis area puppies to be featured in 2024 Puppy Bowl ahead of Super Bowl

Five Acres Animal Shelter in St. Charles and the Humane Society of Missouri in St. Louis both have rescue puppies who made it as team players in Puppy Bowl 20.

ST. LOUIS — The Puppy Bowl is an annual television event that highlights the wonderful animals in rescues and shelters across the country who are looking for their forever homes. This year 73 shelters and rescues from 36 states bring 131 adoptable puppy players out to represent TEAM RUFF and TEAM FLUFF. This year too, two St. Louis area pups were selected to play.

Five Acres Animal Shelter

Indigo

Indigo was brought to the shelter when someone bought her on the internet and decided they couldn't take care of her. She was covered in fleas and incredibly skinny. Now she lives with her mom and is spunky and happy.

Humane Society of Missouri

Sadie

Sadie was rescued from a horrible hoarding case when she was a newborn. She was put in a foster home and then drafted to the Puppy Bowl. Now she lives with a family and a 10-year old fur brother who she loves to play tug of war with. She also loves to hide her treats!
