St. Louis CITY SC unveils the Sauce CITY collection

Sauce CITY pays homage to St. Louis barbeque and the "sauce" that makes the city stand out.

CITY SC is turning up the heat ahead of our match against Sporting Kansas City with a tribute to St. Louis as Sauce CITY, fueling our ongoing rivalry as we prepare to take on SKC Saturday, Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m. at CITYPARK.

The team is unveiling Sauce CITY collection for this match that pays homage to St. Louis barbecue and the “sauce” that makes our city stand out, including our food and BBQ. (Fun fact: St. Louisans consume more BBQ sauce per person than anywhere else in the country.)

  • The Sauce CITY collection includes:
    • “The Sauce” Limited Edition Barbecue Sauce: Made in collaboration with Beast Craft BBQ in Belleville, IL, The Sauce is a limited edition spicy and tangy barbecue sauce that’s perfect for a slab of St. Louis-style ribs or a thin-cut pork steak
    • “The Rub” Limited Edition Sriracha Lime Rub: From the makers of The Sauce, The Rub is a limited edition sriracha lime flavored rub that adds the perfect kick to whatever you’re grilling
    • Premium leather apron handcrafted by Well Made Workshop in St. Louis
    • Scarf, T-shirt, pins and patches
  • Happening this Saturday: the free, pre-match CITY Block Party, 4-7 pm on Lou Fusz Plaza features:
    • Backyard BBQ vibe fit for matchday
    • Sampling from CITYPARK food partners Seoul Taco, Anthonino’s and Bold Spoon
    • Specialty drinks
    • Live music, yard games, giveaways, and more
    • Get your Sauce CITY merch at the CITY Garage pop-up
  • A few achievements in food and sustainability this season:
    • To date, local restaurants have generated over $2.5 million in additional revenue by being part of the CITY Flavor in-stadium food program.
    • As part of the club’s ongoing “Goal: ZERO” commitment, we’ve hosted 13 zero-waste matches this season, in which 90% of waste is diverted way from the landfill each match.
    • Thanks to these sustainability efforts, over 600,000 plastic bottles have been diverted from the landfill in 2024.
