The 42nd annual Japanese Festival is bigger and better than ever

The largest Japanese festival in the U.S. is back Labor Day weekend.

St. Louis, MO — The 42nd annual Japanese Festival takes place at the Missouri Botanical Garden Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. It's bigger and better this year than ever.

They're expanding the food court with more vendors that will be offering more authentic flavors. There will also be additional programming from storytelling to parades. As well as new performances inside and outside.

Show Me St. Louis got preview of a Gaku performance, which is an instrumental ensemble that plays a variety of popular music and folk songs from Japan. Plain and simple, there are many things that make this festival unique.

Adam Jaschek, Senior Events Coordinator, said, "First of all, our Japanese Garden, it's one of the largest in the US. To be able to show this off is really special. To have this in the city is a real gem and to be able to display it. We bring in performances, we have food you just won't be able to see or taste anywhere else."

Japanese Festival:

SAT and SUN from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

MON from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
