The St. Louis Area Foodbank brings together over 1,400 volunteers for the 9/11 Day of Service

More than 1400 volunteers from area businesses join together each year for this special day of service, packing 375,000 meals to feed the hungry.

ST. LOUIS — The 9/11 Day Foundation was created to turn a day of tragedy into a day of service.

Each year, on 9/11, the St. Louis Area Foodbank, in partnership with the 9/11 Foundation, brings volunteers together to serve this mission. More than 1400 volunteers from area businesses joined together this morning to pack 375,000 meals to feed the hungry.

Mary Thaier joined the volunteers and Meredith Knopp, CEO of St. Louis Foodbank for the special day of service.

The 9/11 Day Foundation calls on you to do a random act of kindness today, drop off pantry items at your local food bank, or check out 911day.org to donate.
