CREVE COEUR, Mo. — This morning, we brought the holiday cheer! Mary C. and I rocked our best ugly Christmas sweaters that we picked up at Saint Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Creve Coeur.
It is just one of 9 locations ran by the nonprofit, and while you can find hidden gems all over this shop their holiday items shine this time of the year.
"We are in the Christmas spirit right now at Saint Vincent de Paul very much and excited for the coming holiday season," explained Luke Lindberg, the marketing specialist for Saint Vincent de Paul.
The store has all sorts of Christmas merchandise ready to be repurposed for new holiday memories, from décor, and tins, to ornaments, unique vintage finds and of course: Ugly Christmas Sweaters.
So, who wore it best?
Beyond the sweaters, it is the season of giving. When you shop at Saint Vincent de Paul, you're providing new purpose for gently used items, keeping them out of the landfill. Plus, the proceeds for the items sold go to serve the greater mission of St. Vincent de Paul which is to serve those most in need in our community.
"That's the real focus of everything we do here is being here for our neighbors who are most in need, and trying to provide help for them. During this Christmas season it's more important than ever," Lindberg said.
