ST. LOUIS — You’ve done it again, St. Louis! The annual Schnucks Folds of Honor “Round Up at the Register” campaign raised $1 million to help provide educational scholarships for the families of veterans who were killed or injured in the line of duty.
Schnuck Market announced the total of their 4th annual campaign Friday morning. The Round Up at the Register campaign allowed shoppers to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar from May 26-July 4.
“It impresses me how each year our customers, our teammates and our vendor partners come together to nourish the lives of the family members of injured and fallen service members,” said Bill Bradley, Schnucks chief marketing and communications officer. “Because of our customers’ immense generosity and our team’s commitment to the effort, we have been able to raise $4.2 million and fund 820 educational scholarships over the past four years.”
One-hundred percent of the funds will benefit Folds of Honor. The nonprofit was established 14 years ago by U.S. Fighter Pilot Major Dan Rooney. It has awarded more than 29,000 scholarships since 2007. 5 On Your Side is a proud partner of the Schnucks Folds of Honor campaign.
