ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Calvary Church in St. Charles is in its 12th year of giving free oil changes to single moms and low-income individuals.
The church has three campuses, but they alternate giving the free oil change between their St. Charles facility and Mid Rivers campus four times a year.
Pastor Raymond Washington said that they typically serve between 70-75 people each time they offer the free service.
“This has helped hundreds upon hundreds of families. You multiply that over 12 years and do it four times a year, you’re into thousands of people that you’ve touched and impacted their lives,” Washington said. “It blesses us to know that a church, a place that some people have mixed feelings about, that we’re actually doing the work of Jesus Christ.”
The church will be having their next free oil change on Saturday, April 28 starting at 9 a.m. They are still taking appointments. If you would like to schedule an appointment, call the church at 636-939-4343 and provide the make, model and VIN number of your car.
