EL PASO, Texas — In honor of Month of the Military Child in April, military children have the chance to be recognized as "little heroes" in their community.
Military housing owner Hunt Military Communities has announced its inaugural "Hunt Little Heroes" program. Military children ages 4-15 are encouraged to submit what they think it takes to be a hero and how they've made a positive impact on their communities.
The submission can be a 300-word essay, a drawing or a video.
Winners will be recognized in their community with a special “coining” ceremony. All participants will receive a special hero cape, mask and letter of appreciation.
"During this uncertain time, Hunt Military Communities is proud to share some positivity within the local communities," said spokesperson Stefanie Williamson.
The Hunt Little Heroes program is open to all children of military families.
Submissions are open now through April 20. For more information, click here.
