The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile rolls into St. Louis this week

Get ready to see the Wienermobile at locations around the area, including the National Museum of Transportation in Kirkwood.

ST. LOUIS — The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is returning to St. Louis.

It will visit the National Museum of Transportation in Kirkwood on Wednesday, June 22. The Wienermobile is free for anyone to visit from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Museum admission is not required to take a photo with the 27-foot-long car.

The hot dog shaped vehicle was originally created for the company in 1936.

It will be parked at the museum in the William R. and Laura Rand Orthwein Education and Visitor Center Welcome Circle. The museum is at 2933 Barrett Station Road in Kirkwood.

The Wienermobile will make its way to four other locations across the St. Louis area in the next week:
