ST. LOUIS — UPDATE: Early voting has ended, but you can track the lines for Election Day voting in St. Louis and St. Louis County. Click here for more information.

Residents around the St. Louis area have headed to the polls in the last week as part of the state's no-excuse absentee voting, which allows Missourians to place their votes in the two weeks before the election.

Some areas have reported long lines and wait times, but two jurisdictions are using technology to try to help people get in and out quickly.

St. Louis County

St. Louis County started providing wait time data in 2020, when voters were required to socially distance due to the COVID 19 pandemic. The county has used the program ever since.

All 14 of the county's satellite locations are reporting the length of lines in real time. The length of the line varied widely on Wednesday morning. At 10:30 a.m., the longest line was 300 people at the Grants View Branch Library. The shortest line was at Lewis and Clark Branch Library with 12 voters.

You can check the map by clicking here.

According to unofficial turnout data, more than 120,000 people have already voted in St. Louis County. Six voting locations have already recorded more than 10,000 early voters.
