Ever wanted something so bad you felt compelled to scream for it? Poppy, an Austin dog, has. And now she's a rising internet star thanks to a series of videos her owner has posted to social media sites.

One video that has possibly garnered the most attention opens with Poppy sitting patiently on her dog bed while adorned in a soft knit sweater. Her owner, Michael Tully, slowly says, "Do you ... want to ... go for a ..." and before he can finish the word, "walk," the little pup launches from her plaid bed and screams at the top of her little Chug lungs.

That video, which Tully posted on Instagram, has garnered thousands of likes.

In another video, Poppy appears unamused at the idea of going to "da club." But for a walk, her enthusiasm is unending:

And the screaming doesn't stop there. Tully has posted dozens of videos featuring Poppy's reaction to the mention of "walks."

Tully told KVUE that he and his wife discovered Poppy's "glorious gift" in March of 2014 -- about a month after they adopted her from Austin Pets Alive! Later, in December of 2015, a friend of Tully's said she "was determined to make it go viral" by posting one of the videos on Tumblr. That's when what Tully describes as "Poppy Fever" began and the Chug made appearances on different media outlets.

Tully, a writer and film director, and his wife, head of programs at the Austin Film Society, got Poppy shortly after their cat succumbed to a disease. With a kennel cough, three hernias and a massive overbite, Poppy "looked like a poorly designed stuffed animal," Tully said. But that "stuffed animal" stole their hearts and they decided to adopt her the very next day after meeting her.

APA told Tully and his wife that the 2-year-old is a mix of a chihuahua and a pug, but he's pretty convinced there's "at least one more component thrown into the mix."

"Based on the way she eats her dry food, maybe raccoon? And based on the way she howls when she wants to go for a walk, maybe wolf?" Tully said.

Just to clarify, walking does eventually take its toll on Poppy. This family photo featuring an exhausted Poppy was taken after a hike a few summers back in Leakey, Texas.
