While perusing the popular website, Bestproducts.com, I ran into a page that literally made my mouth drop open.
My all-time favorite ice cream treat, finally coming together with one of my favorite chocolate bars.
We have been busy all night, checking area grocery stores, and sad to report, right now we cannot find a single store carrying them, but we were successful in getting every employee we talked to, as psyched as we are to get them here.
After striking out with area stores, we decided to just call the Nestle's 1-800 number. You might think that at 8 p.m. on a Saturday night, that no one would answer, but apparently the need for Drumstick information is so vital, that Nestle, has 24-hour coverage, we kid you not.
Here's what we learned.
- It is not known when the St. Louis region will receive new Kit Kat Cones.
- It is not known which stores, as it is up to the stores to make their orders.
- They suggest that we all learn the names of the store manager at your favorite store, and make sure to hound them on when the Cones arrive.
- There will two flavors, a chocolate wafer and a wafer with fudge.
Both will be dipped in a chocolatey coating that has crisp wafer pieces in it. And as far as the chocolatey nugget at the bottom of the cone is concerned, we are assured it will be in place.
While we know this not breaking news, we know there are some of you out there who are as excited as us, so we WILL update this story as soon as we hear more on any arrival dates. And if you see the Kit Kat Cones before us, please let us know at newstips@ksdk.com
