Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the best affordable breweries in St. Louis, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to meet your needs.
1. 2nd Shift Brewing
Topping the list is 2nd Shift Brewing, located at 1601 Sublette Ave. in the Hill. The brewery is the highest-rated inexpensive brewery in St. Louis, boasting 4.5 stars out of 78 reviews on Yelp.
Yelper Joe E., who reviewed 2nd Shift Brewing on Oct. 21, wrote, 'During a family vacation to St. Louis, we visited a number of breweries and this was my favorite. Craft breweries have come a long way and many have taken the taproom experience to new levels with great locations and refined interiors.'
Tom J. noted, 'We stopped in here for a couple of beers on a Friday afternoon. This is a big facility, especially a big tasting room. The area is very industrial, but just down the hill from the Hill.'
2. Anheuser-Busch Companies
Next up is Soulard's Anheuser-Busch Companies, situated at 1 Busch Place. With 4.5 stars out of 113 reviews on Yelp, the brewery has proven to be a local favorite for those looking for a low-priced option.
Yelper David G., who reviewed Anheuser-Busch Companies on Oct. 11, wrote, 'Great tour. I love seeing how things are made. And then you get to sample the products. I don't even like Budweiser, but there is something about drinking it here that makes you a fan.'
Yelper Emily T. wrote, 'Went on the Day Fresh tour here with a friend recently on a Saturday afternoon and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! I actually don't drink but there is plenty to see for those non drinkers of us out there!'
3. The U.R.B. - Urban Research Brewery
Forest Park Southeast's The U.R.B. - Urban Research Brewery, located at 4501 Manchester Ave., is another top choice. Yelpers give the cheap brewery, which offers pizza and more, 4.5 stars out of 86 reviews.

4. Perennial Artisan Ales

Yelper Renay G., who reviewed Perennial Artisan Ales on Oct. 18, wrote, 'Perennial is consistent with prompt and friendly service. I look forward to their food menu, which seems to change each month to make something delicious out of local and seasonal products.'
Yelper James L. wrote, 'Had been dying to check out the home of Abraxas and Sump. The brewery is huge with lots of free parking and tables inside and out. The taproom inside is spacious with lots of tables, a long bar and even a couple of old-fashioned dart boards.'
5. Center Ice Brewery
Over in Midtown, check out Center Ice Brewery, which has earned four stars out of 47 reviews on Yelp. Dig in at the brewery by heading over to 3126 Olive St.
