A new cafe and community service/non-profit spot has opened up shop in the neighborhood. The new addition to Tower Grove South, called Destination Cafe, is located at 3182 Morganford Road.
Destination Café specializes in New American dishes. On the menu, expect to see items like poutine, grilled salmon and flatbread.
According to the business's Facebook page, 'Destination Cafe is a social enterprise restaurant that supports the Center for Head Injury Services. Destination Cafe is committed to improving the lives of people with brain injuries, autism and other disabilities by developing opportunities for employment and vocational training while also creating delicious, high-quality food and providing an excellent dining experience.'
With a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh arrival has already made a good impression.
Respectisearned T., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Nov. 8, wrote, 'Had their steak sandwich, and it was awesome! Their fries are the jam too. If you have never tried poutine this is great place to give it a shot, because it was also delicious.'
Yelper Mark P. added, “A new place for us in the neighborhood. We tried our first dinner here and were very pleased. Service was excellent.'
