ST. LOUIS — Travelers will soon have another opportunity to get a taste of St. Louis cuisine while passing through St. Louis Lambert International Airport.
The airport announced Tuesday its commission approved a proposal to bring Kingside Diner to Concourse C, which houses gates for American, Alaska, Frontier and Spirit airlines.
The concept for the Lambert location was based on Kingside Diner locations in Clayton and the Central West End, according to the airport.
“We pride ourselves in giving STL’s passengers a taste of St. Louis’ local cuisine,” Lambert International Airport Director Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge said in a statement. “Kingside is not just one more restaurant at STL, it’s a great diner coming to STL.”
The location is scheduled to open in March 2023.
Kingside Diner will be the third St. Louis airport dining location operated by North American travel retailer and restaurateur Paradies Lagardère. The company currently operates two Vino Volo wine bar and restaurant locations in Concourse A and E.
“Bringing the local traditions and flavor of this great diner from the St. Louis community into the airport will be an exciting option that we know our guests will thoroughly enjoy," President and CEO of Paradies Gregg Parades said in a statement.
The diner is among a few new businesses coming to Lambert. Rip Curl, a retail outlet for beachwear and leisure attire, is now open in Concourse C, and local Mexican restaurant Casa de Tres Reyes opened a new location in Concourse E.
