ST. LOUIS — A local casino will have a new name and minor facelift as soon as this spring.
Lumière Place Casino & Hotel's new name will be Horseshoe Saint Louis.
In a news release, Caesars Entertainment said Horseshoe Casinos will be coming to the city.
“We’re thrilled to usher in a new era and bring the historic Horseshoe to Saint Louis,” said Brian Marsh, general manager of the property.
This change comes after Caesars took over the operations of the downtown hotel and casino a couple of years ago.
“Horseshoe Saint Louis will bring a new look and introduce some exciting new gaming offerings for our guests. We couldn’t be prouder to bring this legendary brand, known for poker and gaming, to our guests here at Lumière Place.”
While changes to the property will be gradual over the next several months, some of the Horseshoe brand spirit is already alive in the WSOP® Poker Room.
A new start means a new look — guests may notice fresh signage, a different casino floor, including updated carpeting and lighting, new slot options and a brand new Starbucks coming later in the year.
"Additional details will be announced as the evolution progresses," the company said.
Guests can expect the complete transformation to Horseshoe this spring.
