MISSOURI, USA — A new phone scam is targeting Missouri's conservationists.
According to the Missouri Department of Conservation, numerous people have received calls from someone pretending to be an officer with the department and asking for donations via credit card.
Do not fall for this scam. The MDC will never contact you asking for money, the department said in a Facebook post.
MDC asked anyone who suspects they've fallen victim to the scam to report it to the Missouri Attorney General's Office or local law enforcement.
