This event is the first in a series of five and runs from 9 a.m. to noon in the first-floor conference rooms at 1520 Market Street.

Dates announced for second annual Holly Jolly Holiday Hiring Fair

SLATE Missouri Job Center announces the dates of its 2nd Annual Holly Jolly Holiday Hiring Fair.

This 5-day hiring event will take place in the first-floor conference rooms at 1520 Market Street on November 7, 15, and 30, and December 8, and 16, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The event aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and businesses looking to hire new talent during the holiday season for both seasonal and permanent employment opportunities.

It’s free to the public and you will have a chance to meet and interview with various companies for entry-level, mid-career, and professional positions in in-demand industries such as healthcare, IT, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, hospitality, customer services, and many others.

Most employers will be hiring workers on the spot to fill immediate openings. SLATE staff will also be present to provide information on the various employment and training opportunities provided at the agency.

Recommended parking is at Kiel Center Garage, situated immediately behind our building, at the corner of Clark and 16th. We ask that all candidates attending the Job Fair bring their résumé and dress for success.

Multi-industry hiring event Thurs., Nov. 10

More than 1,000 jobs will be up for grabs at a multi-industry hiring event sponsored by JobNewsUSA.com.

It’s Thursday, Nov. 10. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Orlando Event and Conference Center at 2050 Dorsett Village in Maryland Heights.

More than 60 companies will be represented, including FedEx, the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, and McKesson.

Parking and admission are free. Job seekers can speak one-on-one with company recruiters who have immediate hiring needs.

Other employers include Bethesda, Waffle House, and the Humane Society of Missouri.

39th Annual Diversity Job Fair STL is this week

Plan to attend the 39th annual Diversity Job Fair STL.

Meet face to face with employers that have immediate job openings for positions ranging from office administration and engineering, to health care and grocery store operations.

It's Wednesday, November 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the North County Rec Complex, 2577 Redman Avenue, 63136.

Dress professionally and bring multiple copies of your resume, a notepad, and a pen.

This community wide job fair is designed to assist you with your employment needs.

It’s open to the public and is absolutely free for all job seekers to attend.

Youth Employment Programs at SLATE

The St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE) is accepting applications for several youth programs.

Here are several youth programs that can translate into employment opportunities.

You must be a city resident between the ages of 17 and 24 to participate.

All programs offer participants paid work experience earning $10.50 per hour for up to 240 hours.

Work in clerical and administrative positions with government agencies, libraries, community organizations, and more.

There are several opportunities to visit the fair throughout November and December.

SLATE also provides job readiness training and financial literacy education, assists with long-term career planning, and helps young people explore careers based on their interests.
