ST. LOUIS — The season of DIY projects has arrived, and Lowe's is seeking to hire 600 new associates for its St. Louis locations during the company's National Hiring Day on Tuesday, May 4.
It's part of a nationwide effort to fill 50,000 new seasonal, part-time and full-time positions in the U.S. No reservations or résumés are required for Lowe's National Hiring Day, but job seekers can RSVP and learn more on the Lowe's National Hiring Day website.
The 605 openings in St. Louis will be for cashiers, retail associates, stockers and receivers, merchandising service associates, drivers, supervisors and Pro sales roles. Lowe’s has available roles for any qualified applicant 18 or older, from students and military service members to retirees, including overnight and daytime roles.
“National Hiring Day has been a simple and convenient way for any job seeker to apply for an open role, get to know us and begin a career with Lowe’s,” said Janice Dupré, Lowe’s executive vice president of human resources.
Career advancements at all levels are available, the company says, including Track to the Trades, a national program equipping you with 100% tuition paid and the skills to launch a career in the trades after six months of employment with Lowe’s. Also, nearly 200 current store managers began their Lowe’s careers in seasonal roles.
Candidates can apply in-person at Lowe’s stores nationwide from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on May 4. They'll be able to meet hiring managers, speak with associates and receive on-the-spot offers.
Lowe’s provides competitive pay and quarterly profit-sharing bonuses for hourly associates. The company also offers a wide variety of health, welfare and financial benefits to full-time and part-time employees.
The company's on-the-job learning has innovative tools, including an app that delivers customized product training in the aisles to ensure associates have the knowledge to help customers.
