Unique bar-restaurant-dog park in St. Louis is hiring

ST. LOUIS — Bar K is a unique new business for St. Louis pet lovers, combining a modern bar, restaurant and a fully staffed dog park.

Slated to open in November 2021, Bar K is hiring many bartenders, line cooks, servers, guest ambassadors and dog tenders.

All candidates must love dogs!

Additional duties and requirements depend on the position as outlined below:

Server: Job Order 12943830. Servers ensure timely and accurate service of Bar K guests. They are friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu and operations. Candidates must be 21 years old or older, have a high school diploma and at least 12 months of serving in a fast-paced food and beverage venue.

Bartender: Job Order 12943833. Bartenders ensure timely and accurate preparation of drinks for Bar K guests. Candidates must be 21 years old or older, have a high school diploma and at least 1-2 years of experience with bartending in a high-volume bar or restaurant.

Line cook: Job Order 12943839. Line Cooks prepare food that meets the quality standards of the Bar K menu. Candidates must be 18 or older, have a high school diploma and have at least 12 months of cooking experience in a fast-paced kitchen and food preparation.

Dogtenders: Job Order 12943819. Dogtenders ensure the safety and welfare of dogs and humans in Bar K's off-leash play area. Candidates must be 18 or older and have some off-leash dog handling skills and experience. Some customer service/hospitality experience preferred.

Guest ambassador: Job Order 12943825. Front desk staff sets the tone for the guests' visit. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing the front desk, greeting customers, membership assistance, and taking payments as appropriate. Some retail/hospitality experience preferred. Excellent customer service and people skills are essential for success in this role. Candidates must be 18 or older, have a high school diploma, and at least six months' experience.

Full- and part-time positions are available.

Schnucks career fair is Oct. 7

Schnucks is hosting a big career fair this Thursday, Oct. 7, from 1-5 p.m.

Applications will be accepted at all 111 stores and at the Schnucks Bakery Plant.

There are a variety of positions with flexible schedules and career advancement. You'll get paid weekly, and the jobs come with health benefits after a qualifying period.

Most positions are part-time to start. No experience is necessary.

Teammates hired at the career fair who remain employed through Jan. 2 will be eligible for a performance and retention bonus.
