Career Central: Final Holly Jolly Holiday Hiring Fair attracts high number of employers

Among the companies hiring are Aerotek, Panera Bread, the Four Seasons Hotel, and Washington University, just to name a few.

ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE) invites job seekers to its final Holly Jolly Holiday Hiring Fair of the season on Friday, Dec. 7.

It's being held in the first-floor conference room at 1520 Market Street downtown from 9 a.m. to noon.

Of the five fairs in this series of job fairs, this one will see the most employer participation.

A variety of companies are offering entry-level, mid-career, and professional positions in high-demand industries such as healthcare, IT, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, hospitality, customer service and more.

Expect on-the-spot interviews and extended job offers to fill immediate openings.

Parking is available at the Kiel Center Garage, or at the corner of Clark and 16th. Parking will be validated.

St. Louis Dept. of Public Safety needs corrections officers

The City of St. Louis Department of Public Safety's Division of Corrections needs to fill a number of open positions.

Correctional Officer II and Correctional Shift Supervisor jobs are open.

You must be 21 or older with some previous experience and/or college credit hours.

No city residency is required.

To be considered for this position applicants must be available to work all shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and to work at the assigned City Correctional institution.

When necessary, Correctional Officers must be able to work mandatory overtime. Candidates must provide their availability for shift and weekend assignments on the Availability Section of the Employment Application.
