Hundreds of jobs are up for grabs in Maryland Heights on July 21, 2022.

The JobNewsUSA.com St. Louis Job Fair is set for the Orlando Event and Conference Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Dozens of companies are slated to participate, including Busey Bank, Enterprise Fleet Management, Clarkson Eyecare, FedEx, Hollywood Casino Saint Louis, the Missouri Athletic Club, Six Flags St. Louis and more.

Dress professionally and bring plenty of resumes.

Fall Classes in Practical Nursing Certification Program, SLATE Can Assist with Training Funding

If you’re a resident of the City of St. Louis, you can get help becoming a licensed practical nurse.

Applied Technology Services (ATS) is a well-known health care institution offering a Licensed Practical Nursing certification in 12 months.

St. Louis' licensed practical nurses enjoy the same salary for entry-level positions as the national average of $31.59 per hour.

Recruitment is underway for the fall semester, starting on September 19.

The application deadline is August 12, 2022.

The St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE) is here to help students receive financial aid and scholarships to help cover tuition, books and tools.

To receive financial assistance through SLATE, students must be residents of St. Louis City. SLATE will also provide eligible participants access to various no-cost resources to ensure job readiness, including workshops on résumé writing and interview skills, skills assessments, and individualized career guidance.

Youth Employment Programs at SLATE

If you're a St. Louis city resident between 16 and 24, SLATE is accepting applications for several youth programs.

All SLATE programs for youth offer participants paid work experience, but each program serves the youth of various ages and has different eligibility requirements.

Some programs even offer a $500 completion stipend.

Participants of all programs earn $10.50 per hour for up to 240 hours.

Participants gain valuable experience working in clerical and administrative positions with government agencies, libraries, community organizations, and more.

SLATE provides job readiness training and financial literacy education, assists with long-term career planning, and helps young people explore careers based on their interests.
