Career Central: Saint Louis Zoo to host February hiring fair

These are part-time positions with both day and night-time hours.

ST. LOUIS — The Saint Louis Zoo is looking for energetic, responsible team members to fill a number of open positions.

Opportunities include catering and food service, attraction operators, retail and parking lot attendants, education interpreters and security.

Plan to attend a job fair on Wednesday, Feb. 7, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in The Living World at the zoo’s North Entrance.

Some jobs have immediate availability, starting as early as the beginning of March.

Flexible weekday and weekend positions are available for ages 15 (work permit required at time of hire) and up.

The job fair will include employment information, plus an opportunity to interview with possible same-day job offers, pending successful completion of the pre-employment paperwork process.

The zoo offers competitive hourly wages and free employee parking. Positions start at $13.50 per hour. Many weekday positions start at $15, based on availability, experience, or the ability to serve alcohol.

Advance registration to attend the job fair is not needed.

Dress is business casual.

All successful candidates will be required to submit to a criminal background check and a drug test.
