St. Louis Dept. of Health/SLATE hosting virtual job fairs

The St. Louis Department of Health is hosting two virtual job fairs with SLATE Missouri Job Center.

The first is set for Thursday, Feb. 9, at 1 p.m.

There's another on Feb. 15 at 1:30 p.m.

These informational sessions will discuss job opportunities with the Department of Health, how to apply, and opportunities for career assistance and training through SLATE.

Dierbergs Markets hosts management hiring event

Dierbergs grocery store chain is looking for managers to work across its 25 Metro area stores, the Lakeview location in Osage Beach, the new Crestwood location opening in early spring, as well as production facilities.

It’s hosting a management hiring event on Tuesday, February 7, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dierbergs Corporate Office, 16690 Swingley Ridge Road in Chesterfield.

The grocery store chain is looking to hire manager trainees and department managers.

This is an in-person event where you can meet store recruiters, and other store department leaders to learn more about what the duties would be.

Six Flags St. Louis hosts job fair Sat., Feb. 11

Six Flags St. Louis needs to fill hundreds of jobs for the upcoming season.
You have to be 15 or older and you'd work from mid-March through the end of October.

Find out more at a job fair Saturday, February 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the human resources building at the park.

There are even incentives for applying that day:

  • Two free tickets for applying and interviewing applicants
  • Opportunity to meet with various departments to see which jobs best fit their interest
  • Drawings will be done throughout the event with prizes including four $25 gift cards

Six Flags St. Louis offers competitive pay rates starting at $12.50 per hour, for employees 16 years old and up, in frontline positions. Specialty positions are available as well offering rates up to $18.00 per hour. 

The theme park also offers great employment opportunities for 15-year-olds wanting to gain valuable work experience. The Hispanic Chamber will host a job fair Thursday, February 16.
It's at Sheet Metal Workers Local 36, 2319 Chouteau Ave in Suite #100.

It runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and daycare will be provided.

World Wide Technology, Spectrum, and Sysco are just a few of the dozens of companies looking to fill open positions.
