Career Central: YouthBuild enrolling young applicants

YouthBuild is looking for young people 17 to 24 to enroll in a paid training program where they can learn construction and leadership skills.
Hundreds of positions are available at two upcoming job fairs in the St. Louis area. There is also a series of job search workshops

ST. LOUIS — YouthBuild wants to help young people in the City of St. Louis earn while they learn.

The St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE) is looking for anyone 17 to 24 who wants to earn their high school equivalency and learn construction skills at the same time.

Parents, if you know a young person who is a city resident, is out of high school and motivated to obtain their GED, contact Carlos Ball at CBall@stlworks.com.

Candidates will need a valid driver’s license or state ID, a birth certificate, a social security card and proof of income.
