ST. LOUIS — Several free events will be held for job seekers in the St. Louis area this week. All of the events will bring you face-to-face with our area’s biggest employers.

Hispanic Chamber sponsors job fair

From American Family to BJC HealthCare and Fresh Thyme Market, dozens of employers are looking to hire.

Meet with company representatives at a job fair sponsored by the Hispanic Chamber.

It’s this Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Sheet Metal Workers Local 36, 2319 Chouteau Ave, Suite No. 100.

It runs from 4-7 p.m. and daycare will be provided.

Home Instead hosts hiring fairs

The population of older adults in the Greater St. Louis area is expected to rise by more than 78,000 by the end of the decade. As a result, there is a continuing urgent need for care professionals.

Home Instead, a leading provider of in-home care for older adults, is hosting hiring open houses to fill more than 50 permanent part-time and full-time in-home care professional positions in the Metro East area.

Three fairs will be held this week. These are in-person events.

  • Tuesday, Feb. 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Edwardsville Home Instead office, located at 105 South Pointe Dr, Suite B in Edwardsville
  • Wednesday, Feb. 15 from 3-6 p.m. at the Edwardsville Home Instead office, located at 105 South Pointe Dr, Suite B in Edwardsville
  • Friday, Feb. 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Belleville Home Instead office, located at 2321 Country Rd in Belleville

A recent survey found that 92% of Americans agree: in-home caregivers for older adults are essential – with 74% calling them very essential.

Boeing hiring for MQ-25 unmanned carrier

Boeing will host a manufacturing career event Thursday, Feb. 16.

It runs from noon to 4 p.m. at the Marriott St. Louis Airport, 10700 Pear Tree Lane, St. Louis, MO 63134

The company is staffing up for work on its MQ-25 unmanned carrier.

SLATE and City Dept. of Health host virtual job fair

The St. Louis Department of Health is hosting another virtual job fair with SLATE Missouri Job Center.

It’s Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 1:30 p.m.

This event is being held online only.

Attend this virtual informational session to discuss job opportunities with the Department of Health, how to apply, and opportunities for career assistance and training through SLATE.
