Schnucks recalls select pork products sold at Town and Country location

Customers who purchased the affected pork products should return them to the store for a full refund or an exchange.

TOWN AND COUNTRY, Mo. — Schnuck Markets has issued a recall for pork products sold Sunday at its Town and Country location, located at 1060 Wood Mills Road. The recall is a precaution after the grocery store experienced an equipment failure.

The following pork products were affected:

  • Pork loin rib chops.
  • Pork loin rib chops thick.
  • Loin pork chops thick cut.
  • Pork loin assorted chops.
  • Pork steaks center cut.
  • Boston pork roast boneless rolled.
  • Butcher bundle pork steaks center cut.
  • Pork steaks value pack.
  • Boneless pork steak value pack.
  • Pork steak center cut (sold from the meat showcase).

Customers who purchased any of the above products on Sunday, Aug. 12 should return them to the Town and Country grocery store for a full refund or an exchange.

No illnesses or injuries were reported as a result of the affected pork products as of Monday, and Schnucks said it was an isolated incident that did not affect any other stores.
