JERSEYVILLE, Ill. – A 9-year-old girl is stepping up to help a community that’s been impacted by recent flooding.
Jessica Layman’s daughter, Kylie, has been watching the news and it broke her heart to see people affected by flooding. She had the idea to hold a lemonade stand all weekend at her home in Jerseyville.
Lemonade stand hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Money raised from the stand will be given to Jersey County flood victims – mostly Hardin and Nutwood residents – Kylie’s mom said.
You can find Kylie’s stand at 406 Andrew Avenue in Jerseyville, Illinois.
