ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A body that was found Friday morning along the western banks of the Mississippi River just south of Bee Tree County Park has been identified as a missing man out of Creve Coeur, Illinois.
The St. Louis County Police Department said people working along the banks of the Mississippi River Saturday morning called police after spotting what they thought could be a body.
Officers from the South County Precinct responded to the 8200 block of Fine Road at 10:20 a.m., where they found a man dead.
The man has been identified as 49-year-old James Andrae.
Police said Andrae had been reported missing out of Illinois.
