Couples will tell you that every wedding is special in its own way — and that's certainly true for Joel Burger and Ashley King, who married Friday afternoon in Illinois for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, with French fries or with onion rings.
Burger and King have been friends since grade school, which is when a guest speaker noticed their full potential .

From there, the couple went on to become homecoming king and queen, and after a local newspaper reporter wrote about their engagement, they grabbed international headlines, generating interest from Australia to England.
And once Burger King caught wind, the fast food chain decided to pay for the couple's wedding.

Burger and King's Friday evening wedding featured gifts from Burger King, including the fast-food chain's crowns and custom mason jars (and the groomsmen posed with Burger King shirts under their suits).
As For King, will she take her husband's last name?
"I'm a Burger. Her last name will be Burger," Burger said. "But it will forever be Burger King."
