Collinsville, Illinois, residents line the streets for annual holiday parade

The 5+ Live Bus was one of many parade participants.

COLLINSVILLE, Illinois — It’s beginning to look and sound a lot like the holidays in the Metro East.

The Collinsville, Illinois, annual Christmas at Collins House and Light-Up Parade was held on Saturday evening.

The sixth annual event took place on Clay and Main streets in Uptown Collinsville, with festivities ending at the historic D.D. Collins House. The event included Uptown festivities starting at 4:00 p.m. and a window display contest, along with holiday food and drink.

Santa and Mrs. Claus paid a visit after the parade!

Collins House festivities after 6:00 p.m. included cocoa, bonfires and s’mores, holiday movies on the big screen, and the tree lighting ceremony at 7:00 p.m.

Organizers got the event in before evening rain began to fall.

And the 5+ Live Bus was among many parade participants!
